Hyundai implements 3D for PM
Hyundai Engineering has implemented the Intergraph SmartPlant Enterprise materials handling solution for its work on the Integrated Gas Development (IGD) project in Abu Dhabi, UAE, says FEN.
The reported $9 billion project, involving the adoption of next-generation 3D design and engineering information management software, will increase Hyundai's productivity, safety, and accelerate projects. The result is expected to boost the Emirate's offshore gas production to one billion cubic feet per day and is currently midway through its estimated 2013 completion.
For its role in the Habshan 5 complex offsite facilities at the IGD project, HEC used SmartPlant 3D for the engineering design and SmartPlant Foundation for data and document management.
