IBM helps the government

IBM has a new offering that helps government agencies and their contractors improve the monitoring of goods and services they deliver to the public, says TMCnet.

The company reportedly developed IBM Maximo Government based on feedback from existing government customers and IBM business units working with federal, state and municipal governments and their contractors.

By leveraging the added functionality in Maximo for government, managers can certain mandatory government contract provisions including the ability to identify and manage contracts.

Bank selects Ecteon

of the West has chosen Ecteon as its contract management provider, reports The Earth Times.

Bank of the West is the second-largest commercial bank based in California.

Katherine Griffin, Bank of the West's contract administrator says, "We selected Contraxx based on its highly flexible architecture."

DVK organises workshop

Dubai Knowledge Village (DKV) has organised a seminar on contract management to address several key issues on the contact management process, says AME Info.

Drawing 100 business professionals from various industries, the seminar was organised in partnership with DKV-based Global Project and Process Management Association (GPPMA) as well as Sukad FZ LLC.

The workshop studied the relevance of contract management to organisational objectives, supply market analysis, market intelligence and market structures. Portfolio analysis, procurement positioning and contract strategies were also discussed by seminar panellists.
