IBM unveils Indian SME range
IBM has unveiled its small and medium enterprise (SME) operations in Bhubaneswar, India, as part of its expansion plans in tier two cities, says Business Standard.
It will enable IBM to provide better support to SME clients in and around Bhubaneswar and help the company`s customers leverage IT for business growth.
In addition, the mid-market businesses will also benefit from the new IBM Express Advantage initiative that provides SMEs with a unified end-to-end approach to help innovate and expand.
Cognito eyes Asia
A year after it first went international with a distribution deal into North America, New Zealand accounting software maker Cognito Software has inked a deal to take on the South East Asian market, reports M-Net.
Cognito, the developer of the MoneyWorks range of SME accounting solutions, says it has struck a deal with Idea Interactive to be its exclusive distributor in Singapore.
Idea Interactive is already a regional distributor of business and education software and will tout the Windows and Macintosh-compatible line of MoneyWorks products - Cashbooks, Express, Gold and Datacentre - in Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and Hong Kong.
BrickRed gets ranked
BrickRed, a commercial software development company for SME segment, has been ranked in the Deloitte Technology fast 500 Asia Pacific programme, consisting of industries in global technology, media and telecommunications, according to India PRwire.
The programme gathers data from fast-growing technology companies in the Asia Pacific (including Australia), China (including Hong Kong), India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand.
