The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) has repealed its "bitstream and shared/full loop" regulations.
In a statement released today, the authority says due to an error in publication of a page of definitions in the draft "bitstream and shared/full loop" regulations on 7 August 2013, the authority has repealed the regulations and will publish a revised set of regulations in due course.
"The submission deadline for all proposals is now 30 days from publication of the re-issued regulations," says the statement.
ICASA says all enquiries regarding the draft regulations should be directed to Christian Mhlanga on (011) 566 3637 or cmhlanga@icasa.org.za and Pumela Cokie on (011) 566 3693 or pcokie@icasa.org.za.
