The Independent Communications Authority of SA (ICASA) has issued a notification to stakeholders and media that it has scheduled a hearing into a complaint lodged against Telkom.
The authority says that the Complaints and Compliance Committee (CCC) public hearing will be held in respect of a matter lodged against Telkom by a consumer.
The CCC received a complaint in relation to the following:
* Poor line speed;
* Telkom's refusal to provide the complainant with Telkom's code of conduct;
* Telkom's refusal to provide the complainant with its complaints handling procedures; and
* Telkom's failure to meet the regulated complaints target of 14 days.
There will be public hearings and any interested party is invited to attend. The public hearings will be held as follows:
