IDION`s US subsidiary Vision Solutions, an information availability management company, and Premier Industry Partner DSI (Data Systems International, Inc), have conducted the first-ever live demonstration of Vision Suite`s clustering capabilities with JD Edwards OneWorld Xe.
The demonstration conducted at FOCUS 2001 in Denver, Colorado, was performed on two IBM eServer iSeries systems (AS/400s) using IBM`s new OS/400 V5R1 in a live clustered mode, and simulated power failures, planned outage switchovers, and system failovers.
At the conference, JD Edwards also announced a joint hardware and software development project with IBM`s eServer division.
The project will see IBM build customized versions of its AS/400 series, recently renamed the iSeries, to run updates of JD Edwards` collaborative commerce and core enterprise resource planning solutions.
