IDION`s US subsidiary Vision Solutions, a leader in information availability management and IBM Premier Business Partner, has announced the release of Vision Suite OMS/400 R7.0.02.
The software, which will work with IBM`s recently announced operating system, OS/400 V5R1, incorporates 14 new product enhancements and numerous customer-driven improvements to offer increased functionality and reliability. It will also extend Visions Suite`s clustering solution announced last year.

Vision Suite OMS/400 R7.0.02 provides the following features and solutions:
CRC Sync Check and Object Repair - Using a proprietary solution with a high performance industry-proven algorithm, CRC Sync Check provides a reliable method for detecting differences between data from the source system to the target system. For customers who use the target system to offload work, CRC Sync Check can offer added confidence that if data on the target is inadvertently modified, this feature can notify and fix the out-of-sync condition.
If a file is found to be out-of-sync, CRC Sync Check has the ability, using the Object Repair feature, to re-sync an entire file automatically, or simply the segment of the file found to be out-of-sync. This is useful for extremely large files with a substantial number of records due to the length of time it takes to perform a save/restore operation.
With CRC Sync Check, customers are now able to:
. Guarantee data integrity
. Validate large files with a 100% confidence level
. Use this feature in situations where one cannot save a file due to Save-While-Active or commitment control
. Repair a portion of a file that is out-of-sync without needing to save and restore the file
Referential Integrity - Provides comprehensive RI support for automatic grouping of related and/or dependent objects to the same apply queue with joint logicals and referential integrity relations ensuring greater data integrity by guaranteeing files are not out-of-sync.
Vision Solutions will begin shipping Vision Suite OMS/400 V7.5 in Q4 2001. V7.5 will take full advantage of IBM`s latest operating system release, OS/400 V5R1. Furthermore, it will provide companion support to V5R1 with removable ASPs or device clusters, journal minimal data, extended LOBs support, and OS supplied data area and data queue journaling support.
