Fujitsu Siemens Computers has announced that Idris Suleman has taken up the position of Managing Director.
He succeeds Mark Wilson, who was recently promoted to the position of Managing Director for the Middle East and Africa.
Suleman has been within the Siemens group since 1984. He has progressed through the ranks at Siemens and has been exposed to many facets of the business. He has spent the last 15 years of his career at Siemens, in the IT realm, having joined Siemens Nixdorf in 1992. Prior to taking up the position at Fujitsu Siemens Computers, he was the CIO for Siemens Limited.
"I am extremely excited by the prospects at Fujitsu Siemens Computers," says Suleman. "In the last seven years, the company has achieved exceptional growth and I believe there is still a great deal of progress that we can make in this market. We have excellent products and services and I believe we have a compelling case to put to customers."
Suleman`s exposure to the professional and product-related services arena should play a significant role in consolidating the company`s position in the marketplace, and his experience as a CIO will enable him to impart unique insights into the problems facing the modern CIO, to his colleagues.
