IDWS launches new Network Management division

Johannesburg, 25 Jun 2002

On 1 May 2002, IDWS officially launched its new Network Management division which is to provide fully integrated local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) solutions to small, medium and large enterprises.

With the launch of its Network Management division, IDWS will be providing cost-effective, state-of-the-art LAN and WAN solutions designed to complement any business no matter how big or small it might be, says Shaun Botha, head of IDWS` Network Management division.

Businesses today rely heavily on their desktop computers, networks and email solutions and require them to be stable, reliable, fast and cost-effective. With the ever-changing IT environment, many companies are finding it too costly to employ and train their own dedicated team of network engineers and are moving towards either fully or partially outsourcing their IT support requirements to specialist companies like IDWS.

Not only will IDWS manage existing networks, it is fully equipped to effectively design, implement and maintain new local and wide area networks.

Services offered by IDWS` Network Management Division include:

* Designing and implementation of new local and wide area networks;

* Maintaining new and existing local and wide area networks;

* Corporate and SME Internet and e-mail services (Diginet, ISDN 64k and 128k, Analogue 56k);

* Router configurations, maintenance and support;

* Onsite server and desktop support; and

* Contracted support service.

With IDWS` advanced network infrastructure and high availability connections, IDWS is well equipped to provide its WAN clients with fast and reliable diginet access solutions ranging from 64Kbps all the way up to 2Mbps and higher. With IDWS` advanced network monitoring centre, all IDWS diginet line clients can have the piece of mind that there WAN is being monitored 24/7/365 by skilled network engineers using state of the art hardware and software.

When asked about IDWS` LAN operations, Botha explained that IDWS has employed highly-skilled network engineers who are fully qualified in all aspects of LANs. With IDWS` high levels of professionalism, clients can be assured that they will receive the best possible service at all times.
