Instacom is very proud to be part of IFSEC 2013, hosted at the Gallagher Convention Centre, in Midrand, South Africa. IFSEC is regarded as the biggest security related exposition on the African continent. This expo provided a perfect platform to showcase products and services to companies on both a national and international level.
After much anticipation to showcase its latest products, IFSEC 2013 was the chosen to stage the official launch of Instacom's new benchmark product, the Toughshield R500.
The Toughshield, which has been in testing since February this year, has officially been commercialised to all markets in sub-Saharan Africa. Marketing Manager of Instacom, Kyran Van Rooyen, said: "We have all been very excited about launching our new flagship product. We are hoping the Toughshield will cause a shift in conventional thinking and bring about a new norm for mobile communication and loan worker monitoring."
Utilising the latest push-to-talk technology, Instacom has offered a product which changes the way businesses across sub-Saharan Africa are using two-way radios. Unlike current two-way radios which link to radio waves via various repeaters and radio towers, push-to-talk has the ability to communicate directly through cellphone networks, providing users with greater communication stability and national coverage.
Van Rooyen mentioned that the Toughshield is equipped with GPS tracking capabilities and a high-speed panic (SOS) button to ensure the highest safety precautions are maintained for all mobile staff. The device also has built-in near field communication technology capable of interacting with recognition tags on various sites to fully manage all guards and lone workers.
