iJET publishes business continuity report
iJET Intelligent Risk Systems, a provider of global intelligence and business resiliency services, has published its "2008 Business Resiliency Survey Results: An insiders' look at the current state of risk management, continuity and resiliency in multinational organisations", states Sunherald.com.
The survey, conducted by iJET International, drew responses from more than 600 executives in primarily large multinational organisations about the risk management and resiliency plans and practices in their organisations.
According to the report, most organisations are prepared to respond to disruptions. Almost all survey participants had some type of disaster recovery or business continuity plan in place. Forty one percent also have a plan for business resiliency.
Vijaya implements IRMS project
India's Vijaya Bank has become the first bank in the public sector to implement an enterprise-wide integrated risk management system (IRMS) project, says Deccanherald.
The distinctive feature of the project relates to integration of seven risk solutions, including credit risk, market risk, operational risk management, asset liability management and funds transfer pricing, the bank said in a statement.
The bank says it has selected Wipro Technologies as the system integrator for the project after conducting a comprehensive due diligence.
Premier, DataChambers expand contract
The US's Premier Healthcare Alliance has renewed and expanded a multiyear contract with DataChambers, a North Carolina-based technology firm for disaster recovery and business continuity services, reports the Caroline Newswire.
Premier operates a health-care purchasing network and repository of hospital clinical and financial information, its clients include more than 2 000 US hospitals and 53 000 other health care provider sites.
The company's contract with DataChambers ensures the continuity of services it delivers to its customers in the event a system or network connection fails or its offices are inaccessible.
