In-house PC solution a winner for resellers, says Tarsus Technologies

Tarsus Computers, a division of Tarsus Technologies (a member of the MB Technologies group) has migrated to a full A-Open PC solution based on Intel processors.

According to Darryl Squara, business manager at Tarsus Technologies, this not only enables resellers to provide their customers with state-of-the-art technology and an industry-standard product, but also ensures total compatibility with all peripherals.

"The fact that the Tarsus PC is now completely uniform means that resellers will not have to worry about receiving a batch of PCs that, when opened, contain a mix of various components," he says. "We use only the best-quality components in our PCs, including branded memory and Seagate hard drives (unless the customer specifies otherwise). Consequently, dealers now have a White Box PC that is not only built on reliability, but is far more stable and compatible. The base unit has the same look and feel, enabling the reseller to become more comfortable with the product."

Tarsus computers are built and configured in Tarsus Technologies` own ISO9002 configuration centre. "Due to the PC being 60% built upon arrival, configuration can be carried out more quickly," says Squara. "Additionally, each computer is subjected to stringent testing before being packaged, and specific emphasis is placed on standardisation and uniformity.

"A particularly strong casing prevents any problems from occurring during transit," he continues. "The new case also has a 250 Watt power supply, which is beneficial for upgrading.

"Additionally, the computer carries a three-year Return to Base warranty, which clearly underlines their robustness and reliability, and allows the reseller peace of mind in their offering to their customer. The computers are delivered free-of-charge in SA, which signifies additional cost savings for the reseller," Squara concludes.
