Information management group Reynolds and Reynolds, which focuses on the automobile industry, is bringing Incadea, a dealer management system, to SA.
The company has selected Compatible Information Systems (CIS) as a local channel partner.
The New York Stock Exchange-listed multinational, operating in 35 countries, will partner with CIS, which says it provides IT solutions to over 200 franchised automotive retailers in sub-Saharan Africa.
Reynolds and Reynolds has served automobile dealers for 79 years, and has over 20 000 customers (or 80% of automotive dealers and manufacturers) in the US and Canada.
A statement from CIS explains Incadea is built on the Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Dynamics NAV enterprise resource planning platform.
"It is especially well-suited to meet the needs of large dealer groups due to its advanced consolidation features, sophisticated parts and vehicle inventory management functionalities and connectivity options," adds the statement.
Kevin Joubert, CEO of CIS, comments: "The partnership between Reynolds and Reynolds and Microsoft has created a powerful and modern dealer management system, offering dealers everything they need to manage their business, improve their profitability and service their customers."
Bob Sawyer, GM and VP of Reynolds International`s European, Middle Eastern and African regions, says: "CIS understands dealers` challenges and will add value in the implementation of the Incadea solution, as well as the provision of technical support."
