Xerox Corporation announced today that it has been recognized by dealers across the country as the Printer Manufacturer of the Year. Marketing Research Consultants, publishers of The Cannata Report, conducted the survey of 325 independent copier/printer dealers over the past 5 months. When asked "who in your opinion has the strongest printer line of products in the industry," dealers responded with Xerox. Survey respondents were asked to rate the printers on a number of criteria, including overall quality and strength in paper-handling.
Xerox` growing printer and multifunction line is available to independent dealers, including DocuPrint N Series network laser printers as well as WorkCentre PRO multifunction systems that print, copy, fax and scan. "For the first time, Xerox not only competed very strongly for printer manufacturer of the year, but also was at the head of the class," said Frank Cannata, editor and publisher, The Cannata Report. "This is a real tribute to the quality of Xerox` printer product lines."
"We are significantly expanding our printer and multifunction portfolio in the dealer channel," said Jack Lafferty, vice president and general manager, Xerox Office Dealer Organization. "Clearly, our partners recognize the quality of our products and programs."
Xerox` current recognition is one of several recent honors Xerox has received for its printers. PC Magazine recently awarded its prestigious "Editor`s Choice" designation to the Xerox DocuPrint N2125 monochrome network printer and called the new Tektronix Phaser 750DX by Xerox the "printer of choice" in network color. A recent survey, conducted by Industry Analysts, Inc., showed Xerox printer customers to be 100 percent loyal to Xerox products.
