
India gets PM tech
With CADD Centre engaging Primavera in a strategic pact, India is likely to see a more educated generation of project managers, says EFYtimes.com.
Chennai-based CADD Centre has entered into a strategic alliance with Primavera Systems. The partnership will foster the training of professionals in India, using the latest project management technology, which will help them to accurately manage projects` schedules and budgets.
Primavera introduced its `India Education Program` earlier this year. CADD Centre will serve as both a reseller of Primavera project management software to educational institutions in India, as well as a training centre, providing Primavera-certified training courses to professionals and students.
PM summit begins this week
Stevens Institute of Technology professor Michael Poli will speak at the Supply Chain Project Management Summit, says FirstScience.
The event, sponsored by Rutgers University, takes place on 9 October 2007. Poli`s presentation is titled: "Project Strategy - The Path to Achieving Supply Chain Management Competitive Advantage/Value."
The Rutgers Centre for Supply Chain Management will host the summit to discuss project management in a supply chain environment.
PMTO provides online courses
Project Management Training Online (PMTO) is providing four online courses and two online simulations on the subject of "Creating high-performance on-site and virtual teams", says Free Press Releases.
PMTO provides these Skillsoft online courses as the "Course Bundle: Creating High-performance On-site and Virtual Teams - 20.0 hours/PDUs".
All of these courses and simulations help students to interactively build and reinforce skills in the area of team-building in an on-site or virtual environment, and qualify for PDUs (professional development units) at the rate of one PDU for each course hour, according to PMI policy.
