Indocam takes complete ETC Solution from SunGard`s Business Integration

Johannesburg, 19 Jul 2000

ensemble, a provider of business and technology solutions to the financial industry, has announced that SunGard Business Integration is providing a complete electronic trade confirmation (ETC) and delivery solution to Indocam, a European Investment firm.

According to Richard Shaw, director at ensemble, Indocam was seeking a straight-through processing (STP) solution to address its business requirements, which were namely minimising manual processing and reducing the inter-application `chaos` brought about by multiple connections in a elaborate back-office systems environment.

"Indocam`s priority was to create a strategic Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) platform which includes external interoperability with networks such as Oasys Global Direct and SWIFT. In addition, Indocam needed a complete business integration solution to incorporate sophisticated trade matching and reconciliation capabilities," adds Shaw.

"Indocam was searching for a major vendor who not only provided excellent STP technology and credentials in terms of understanding the complexities of our business process, but provided additional value and functionality than the traditional middleware vendor. With SunGard, we found a complete solution offering which fully met our requirements," comments Xavier Barrois, MD of Information Technology at Indocam.

SunGard Business Integration incorporated the intelliMATCH trade reconciliation and matching solution, together with the Decalog order management and trading system to provide a comprehensive and fully Integrated ETC solution.

"This deal represents the essence of what SunGard Business Integration does: By leveraging business applications across the SunGard spectrum, it provides integrated solution framework through the MINT Knowledge Hub which is tailored to deliver complete client satisfaction," concludes Shaw.
