InfoComm adopts AV sustainability policy
policy, Manufacturing Digital reports.
The InfoComm Board of Directors approved the policy at their meeting at InfoComm 2012; the audiovisual solutions trade show, held at the Las Vegas Convention Centre.
The policy spells out InfoComm's commitment to supporting its members' ability to create, operate and maintain sustainable professional audiovisual environments.
Market Watch says the policy also delineates actions that InfoComm staff and members can take to minimise the impact of their activities on the ecosystem.
"As a leading association and manager of tradeshows, InfoComm International has a responsibility to operate in a manner that minimises its impact on the environment," said Allen Weidman, InfoComm sustainability officer.
"By adopting this policy, InfoComm is demonstrating its true commitment to being a leader in the area of sustainability."
InfoComm is working with Freeman to implement the new policy, Melodika notes.
“We have integrated sustainable practices into our day-to-day business, and are proud to partner with InfoComm, a leader in audiovisual and information communication technology, to make InfoComm 2012 a more sustainable show," says Joseph V Popolo, Jr, CEO of Freeman.
