Business and financial management company SSA Global last week underwent an identity change, adopting the name of its new owner, Infor.
Softworx, regional master distributor of SSA Global in South Africa, has confirmed that Infor, the third largest global provider of enterprise software, has completed its acquisition of SSA Global. The name change follows the completion of Infor`s US$1.4 billion acquisition of SSA Global last month.
Infor delivers fully integrated end-to-end enterprise solutions as well as best-in-class standalone products that address the essential challenges customers face in areas such as enterprise resource planning, supply chain planning and execution, customer and supplier relationship management, asset management, and product lifecycle management.
The acquisition now results as SSA Global being part of world`s fastest-growing enterprise software company. Infor is the third largest business application company behind SAP and Oracle with $2.1 billion in annual revenue and about 70 000 customers.
Infor CEO Jim Schaper said the acquisitions of SSA Global, Systems Union and Extensity will enhance the company`s product roadmap, giving it more customer appeal.
"The acquisition will result in us being able to broaden our offering services to include solutions that will enable our customers to improve performance throughout the organisation," Jane Thomson, Managing Director, Softworx said. "Companies can choose integrated solutions for specific industries as well as standalone solutions from one provider."
Infor`s acquisition strategy benefits customers by extending the life of an enterprise`s technology investment, integrating highly complementary product sets and providing rich vertical market experience. Infor enriches and extends its customers` current solutions, while providing a path to new technologies.
