Infor to showcase expertise, innovation at 2007 user conference

Four-day event provides hundreds of networking and learning opportunities; offers platform for large, growing customer base to share insight and ideas
Johannesburg, 23 May 2007

Infor recently announced plans for its annual global user conference, Inforum 2007, to be held from 9 to 12 September 2007, in Las Vegas at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre.

This year's theme, "Enterprising U", celebrates the enterprising qualities of Infor's more than 70 000 customers, and highlights the networking and learning opportunities at the four-day event.

"Inforum 2007 attracts Infor customers, partners and prospects from around the world who come to learn about new business opportunities, collaborate on Infor's business-specific solutions, and get the inside story on the latest product roadmaps for their solutions," said Gavin Kilfoil, regional manager, sub-Saharan Africa, Infor.

"Attendees representing virtually every industry will discover how Infor's solutions enable businesses of all sizes to be more enterprising and adapt to the rapid changes of a global marketplace."

Customers, partners and Infor representatives will lead hundreds of educational sessions on topics such as best practices, tips and techniques, product seminars, business strategy and industry trends. Infor solutions will be featured in tracks customised for users, providing insight and in-depth information on how customers can optimise their solutions to solve complex business challenges and empower their business.

Inforum 2007 attendees can learn about new trends and directions from industry leaders, attend hundreds of "how to" sessions, participate in breakout sessions to share knowledge and ideas, and test-drive new software solutions. Best of all, customers can connect with their peers to discover new techniques for solving challenges and best practices for their business.

Inforum 2007 will offer hands-on demonstrations of Infor and partner solutions as part of the Solutions Expo. Here, customers will have the opportunity to interact with Infor's domain experts and technology partners, and participate in technical demonstrations of Infor's business-specific software solutions. With Infor's products distributed locally and throughout sub-Saharan Africa by Softworx, an EOH company, Inforum 2007 thus proves to be the perfect September business destination for many South Africans.

Throughout Inforum 2007, networking opportunities will allow customers a chance to connect with their peers. New to the programme this year:

* ConnectAtInforum.com, an online networking site that brings together like-minded customers prior to and during the conference;
* Enterprising Square, a large networking area organised into Infor customer communities designed to encourage idea sharing between sessions and other Inforum activities; and
* Parallel Path, informally moderated, unsupervised sessions led by Infor customers that provide a platform for discussing common issues and needs.

Infor Open SOA, the company's service-oriented architecture strategy, will be a hot topic at Inforum. Attendees will gain first-hand insight into the solution interoperability, innovation and evolution that Infor Open SOA provides across all product lines, including the near-term plan for enablement of solutions, and how to take advantage of this framework that offers business innovation without disruption.

Jim Schaper, Chief Operating Officer Robin Pederson and Chief Technology Officer Bruce Gordon will give keynote presentations during the conference. For more information regarding the conference and to register, visit http://www.inforum2007.com.
