Istria launches consultant partner programme

Istria, a project and management software company has announced a Consultant Partner Program (CPP) which is designed for consultants and consulting firms that wish to enhance their service offering by integrating Istria`s IRIS software application into their practices, reports earthtimes.org.

According to the report, the programme is free to join and offers qualifying consulting firms a range of benefits, which include a complimentary annual licence of IRIS, a brief description of their company and its services on the CPP section of Istria`s Web site and a free 60 minute Web-based training seminar on IRIS.

Project management in transition

One unique issue in software project management that is not much discussed is the impact of software projects` when key resources change in various stages of the project implementation, says India`s Express Computer.

When software projects are taken over by new heads, it results in discontinuity, perceptual differences, interpretational and client management issues, even when there is a well-developed documentation, the report says.

There are several challenges a project manager has to grapple with when he or she takes over a project in any one of the intermediate stages in software projects, the report warns.
