Johannesburg, 22 Apr 2002

Integrated Research Ltd, leading developer of systems and application management solutions for high-availability computing environments, today announced the worldwide availability of PROGNOSIS 7.06 for Windows, UNIX, Linux and Compaq Non-Stop Himalaya via the company`s direct sales and distribution channel.

Built on the proven, distributed management architecture of PROGNOSIS, version 7.06 adds advanced e-business management functionality to significantly increase service levels and eliminate costly system outages.

This innovative new functionality enables organizations to better understand e-business service levels. PROGNOSIS monitors and tracks true end-to-end e-business response times via scheduled synthetic transactions. It combines system response times with extensive e-business infrastructure monitoring and seamless cross-platform management capabilities that provide proactive control of the entire e-business environment.

"Organizations face an increasingly challenging business environment that dictates a management solution that is comprehensive and flexible," said Steve Killelea, CEO and President, Integrated Research. "Using innovative technology, PROGNOSIS 7.06 extends the already-comprehensive architecture to address e-business infrastructure management needs - irrespective of operating platform or the location of the IT manager." With PROGNOSIS 7.06, e-business outages can be significantly reduced. PROGNOSIS automatically identifies poor-performing or overloaded system components and immediately alerts IT Managers, providing them with comprehensive troubleshooting capabilities and the ability to resolve issues before they impact e-business end-users.

In addition, remote management capabilities via the new web-browser interface provide IT managers with flexible, real-time visibility of their environment - from any location.

Key new features of PROGNOSIS 7.06 include:
