Integration is key for a successful CRM strategy

AdvanceNet - Pivotal launches the Pivotal Integration Engine.

AdvanceNet today announced the availability of the Pivotal Integration Engine, which enhances the integration potential of Pivotal eRelationship, enabling it to adapt to multiple end-systems.

"Due to the rapid evolution of automated technologies, many businesses have deployed disparate systems to support their customer-facing processes. Customers are demanding linkages into their legacy systems. Business is focusing on front-end systems and the data that gets delivered to them needs to be accurate and credible," says Thomas Barker - Divisional Manager.

Since corporations began adopting line-of-business applications to automate their front- and back-office processes, they have faced the challenge of integrating disparate systems. Pivotal provides companies with a CRM system that includes a consolidated data repository of critical customer, partner and employee information.

"We now see customers basing decisions on their selection of CRM systems in accordance with the robustness of integration into their legacy systems. After all, a large percentage of the success of a CRM implementation hinges on the ability to have a one-view picture of interactional data with a customer."

The Pivotal Integration Engine is a set of tools including an XML adapter that enhances the ability to integrate Pivotal. It facilitates the seamless bi-directional exchange of data between Pivotal`s CRM solutions and third-party applications such as Microsoft Great Plains, SAP, JD Edwards, PeopleSoft and Oracle via middleware components and third-party adapters.
