The National Institute for Higher Education, Northern Cape (NIHE), decided during the latter part of 2008 to install the Integrator product range, the leading ERP software solution for higher education, from ITS Tertiary Software, a subsidiary of ITS Holdings.
NIHE was launched on the 23 June 2003 to meet the need for higher education in the Northern Cape. It currently comprises two campuses: the Main Campus and the Galeshewe Campus. Various courses and degree programmes are offered in collaboration with existing higher education institutions. NIHE has a student count of more than 1 000 students. NIHE required an integrated software solution to support its diverse administrative business processes.
The Integrator product range of ITS Tertiary Software fully supports the diverse business processes of institutions in the higher and further education sectors. Included are student, financial, HR, payroll and library management solutions. These systems enable staff and students to access the system remotely through a standard Web browser and specially designed self-service applications.
Being a relatively new institute with limited IT resources, the National Institute for Higher Education needed an integrated product from a vendor who has experience in providing solutions and dedicated support in the education sector.
