The international electronics event, Advanced Overclocking Championship 2008 (AOCC 2008), will be held on 28 and 29 July, 2008 (Monday and Tuesday), at the G/F Exhibition Area, Dragon Centre, West Kowloon, Hong Kong. This prestigious event will herald only one international winner, and the competition this year looks fierce!
The AOCC 2008 was held in Singapore last year, where an Australian, Tim Marshall - veteran and winner of many overclocking events in the past, emerged victorious. This year, Hong Kong is proud to have been selected to host this esteemed international event. As it is the first year the territory is participating in the AOCC, many harbour hopes that the Hong Kong representatives will do well enough to place highly in the AOCC world rankings.
Introduction to the AOCC 2008 contestants hail from all over the world, including: Australia, China, Finland, France, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Portugal, South Africa, Singapore, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, the UK, the US, and Hong Kong - with a total field of 40 participants.
This year, we have the honour of inviting ASUS Technology as the co-organiser for AOCC 2008. They will provide all the technical support required throughout this occasion. Other hardware and software sponsors include companies such as: Intel, Nvidia, Kingston, FSP & Western Digital - all of whose support for this international event is truly indispensable. This year, overclocking experts will be congregating at Hong Kong for AOCC 2008. The aims of this exceptional event are to promote the exchange of overclocking skills among participants, to encourage the exploration and enhancement of overclocking knowledge, and to bolster the popularity of overclocking throughout the world. All of the contestants possess top overclocking skills, and attaining the title of "Winner of AOCC" is a laudable achievement as it represents the pinnacle of the overclocking community worldwide.
