For the first time in South Africa, NokusaEI, a leading South African ERM consultancy, is offering AIIM`s internationally recognised professional ERM (enterprise records management) certification programme.
As AIIM`s accredited southern African training partner, NokusaEI will deliver the complete range of modules for the ERM Master Certificate course, which has been developed by AIIM (www.aiim.org), the international authority on enterprise content management.
Rob Cells, a director of NokusaEI, states that records - electronic or analogue - document an organisation`s decisions and actions and thus represent an organisation`s "corporate memory".
Managing these records requires the co-operation and co-ordination of people as well as technical and non-technical systems. The requirements of records management aren`t new. What is new though is the impact of an ever-increasing volume of electronic documents that must now be included for records management to have relevance and legitimacy.
Properly managed, records are strategic assets. Improperly managed, they can become liabilities.
The complete programme of the AIIM ERM Certificate course will be offered over four days from 19 to 22 November at NokusaEI`s training centre in Randburg.
