Internet Solutions hands over 1 500 tracksuits to primary school

Johannesburg, 31 Aug 2007

Internet Solutions (IS), a leading converged communications services provider, has adopted Tshwarango Primary School in Thokoza and recently handed over 1 500 tracksuits to the students for the winter months.

"Tshwarango has been selected as the primary focus for our CSI programme," says IS Marketing Executive Anthony Southgate. "Thokoza is a disadvantaged informal settlement and we feel we can make a real and direct difference in the lives of these young children. Tracksuits were clearly needed to get the children warmly through the winter, and we were really heartened by the way the community turned out to welcome us on the day we handed them over. I will never forget the look on these kids' faces."

IS is also actively involved in collecting reading books for the new library that is being built by Dimension Data as part of the process of upgrading the school to house the rapid growth in number of learners from the area.

"We are sponsoring a teacher at the school for the 2007 school year, have sent the principal on a leadership networking course, and are committed to sustaining the fund-raising activities," Southgate added.
