InterSystems Corporation today announced that the company is positioned in the Visionaries Quadrant in Gartner`s Integration Backbone Software Magic Quadrant.
Gartner, headquartered in Stamford, CT, is a world leader in IT market research.
Cambridge, Massachusetts-based InterSystems provides innovative, high performance software products that enable rapid application development, integration and deployment for IT organisations and independent software vendors.
Ensemble is a comprehensive platform that uniquely incorporates the functionality of an integration server, application server, high performance object database and a unified development and management environment in a single, seamless product. Ensemble-based projects are being rapidly deployed in scores of organisations worldwide.
The Integration Backbone Magic Quadrant includes vendors of enterprise service buses (ESBs), integration suites and application platform suites (APSs) that incorporate functions relevant to buyers who are primarily using packages and legacy applications to automate business processes rather than building all-new applications from the ground up.
"Companies use these products to implement a systematic, general purpose infrastructure for distributed applications, sometimes described as an `enterprise nervous system`," according to the report. "ENS backbones support service-oriented architecture (SOA) event-driven applications and various other design patterns for composite applications, real-time data synchronisation and multistep business processes," the report stated.
According to Gartner, "most of the visionaries are companies with very good knowledge of customer requirements...visionaries have often been the first to bring technical innovations to the market or to implement new industry standards." Gartner defines vendors listed in the visionary quadrant as having a clear vision of market direction and are focused on preparing for that, but they can still improve in terms of optimising service delivery.
"We believe InterSystems` inclusion in the Visionary Quadrant in the Gartner Integration Backbone Software Magic Quadrant highlights Ensemble`s innovative development integration and deployment technology that is successfully being used globally," said Trevor Matz, InterSystems` Managing Director, Ensemble. "IT executives in key market sectors worldwide are providing exciting feedback on the rapid success of complex integration projects, underlining our ability to fulfil market requirements and exceed customer expectations."
In addition to Ensemble, InterSystems develops and markets the CACH'E post-relational database.
InterSystems SA is hosting its third South African Symposium, entitled "Build Competitive-Edge Through Innovation", on 6 and 7 July at the Park Hyatt Hotel in Rosebank, Johannesburg.
The company will focus on how CACH'E and Ensemble enable the rapid creation and fast integration of high-performance applications. InterSystems has secured Gartner analyst Willie Appel as a keynote speaker at this, the company`s premier partner event. The topic of Appel`s presentation is "Integration, Innovation and Measurement: The Path to Business Breakthrough Performance".
Headquartered in Cambridge, Massachusetts, InterSystems Corporation (www.InterSystems.com) has served the needs of IT organisations and independent software vendors for more than two decades. InterSystems` showcase products, the CACH'E post-relational database and the Ensemble integration platform, enable the rapid creation and fast integration of high-performance applications.
Over 4 million people use mission-critical applications based on InterSystems` software. Twenty regional offices serve application developers and integrators around the world, and 24x7 support is provided for all InterSystems products.
