Intrinsyc with Supa
Intrinsyc Software, a Canada-based provider of software services for mobile and embedded devices, has formed a licence and services agreement with Supa Technology for the Soleus Transit - Navigation Edition, according to CBRonline.
Supa is developing a personal navigation device that connects to the Internet using GSM cellular networks.
Soleus Transit - Navigation Edition is expected to provide the data connectivity and user interface framework, as well as Intrinsyc's Destinator navigation software, which delivers turn-by-turn navigation with millions of points of interest.
Sony Unveils Vaio Netbook
Sony unveiled the latest addition to its Vaio line, the Vaio P Series Lifestyle PC, at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), in Las Vegas, reports ign.
Weighing in at just under a pound-and-a-half, the Vaio P Series is the world's lightest eight-inch notebook and features the Vaio series' signature stylised exterior design.
"The Vaio P Series Lifestyle PC is your portal to the world, delivering entertainment and computing in a head-turning device that's small enough to put in your pocket," said Mike Abary, senior VP of Vaio product marketing at Sony Electronics.
Video uploads come to SD
Eye-Fi has developed an SD memory card able to upload videos directly onto YouTube from a compact camera, reports Register Hardware.
The firm is keeping mum for now about the WiFi card's exact specifications, but it has promised that the video upload process is possible without “the fuss of special software”.
Eye-Fi made headlines at last year's CES when it displayed a WiFi SD card capable of uploading still images directly onto photo sharing sites.
