Introducing Radeon X800 XL from Sahara for smoother, faster gaming

Johannesburg, 29 Aug 2005

Should games really be made to look more lifelike? The developers of the Radeon X800 family of graphics cards certainly seem to think they should, and came up with their most powerful family of VPUs to date, especially to give a more realistic visual experience for gamers.

Big brother of the acclaimed and successful Radeon 9800 PRO, the X800 graphics technology delivers up to two times the performance. With frame rates that surpass any prior graphics processor, the Radeon X800 provides an exceptionally smooth, responsive high-definition gaming experience, putting capable gamers in complete control of even the most complex games.

The new addition to the family, the 512MB Powercolour Radeon X800 XL presents several upgrades to the standard X800, including a PCI bus and upgraded output that includes HDTV (High Definition TV).

With the latest graphics technology the Radeon X800 range defines 'high-definition gaming'. If gamers could possibly be drawn deeper into the virtual world, this is how. The card maximises gaming performance and improves image quality with higher resolution and greater detail.

ATI Technology's new and revolutionary 3Dc image enhancement technology enables considerable improvement to the image detail of character art, bringing characters to life while adding greater realism to scenery. Giving increased performance for lower memory usage, the 3Dc is expected to become the benchmark for the industry.

The Radeon X800 brings together extreme data rates and incredible acceleration in a quiet and cool single-slot solution.

On top of the gaming experience, the unit includes a sophisticated video processing, filtering and acceleration feature, significantly improving the quality and speed of multimedia applications. It supports the latest high-definition and wide display formats, that doesn't only benefit gaming, but Internet use and movies too.

Sahara Computers is the proud distributor of the Radeon X800 XL.

Says Atul Gupta, MD of Sahara Computers: "Video card technology is dynamic and constantly changing with the introduction of greater levels of functionality and improved performance, but whether it is used for gaming or business applications or by the home user, Sahara aims to make the latest and best hardware solutions available."

The Radeon X800 XL retails at R4 116.83.
