The IOCORE Outsourcing Division`s staff members have a long association with Trespaphan, going back to when Trespaphan was part of the Hoechst Group. Then, they implemented and maintained the enterprise`s business activities on SAP R/2.
This system was replaced by SAP R/3, during one of the largest R/2 to R/3 migrations ever undertaken in South Africa. The Trespaphan SAP system is outsourced to IOCORE, whose Outsourcing Division is responsible for all support and enhancement activities to it.
Recently, members of IOCORE`s Outsourcing division developed an integrated interface between SAP R/3 and Trespaphan`s in-house (Factory) Shop-floor system, or TFS.
This is a fully automated interface that synchronizes the two computer systems constantly and without user intervention.
IOCORE Outsourcing developed an add-on to the SAP standard modules to enable Production Campaign planning. This 'plug in` application greatly enhances processing time and efficiency, by fully integrating Sales with Production, thereby allowing the systems to control and synchronize the Sales and Production cycles.
The integrated Trespaphan systems are fully functional, and constitute the reliable 'backbone` required for adding full e-Commerce functionality. This initiative is due to commence shortly, and IOCORE`s Outsourcing staff will be involved, as always.
"Trespaphan South Africa and IOCORE Outsourcing have a symbiotic relationship which emanates from both companies evolving from a world class organization such as Hoechst South Africa, " says Dr Eric Horsten, Managing Director of Trespaphan South Africa. "IOCORE know our business intimately and have been invaluable in helping us to customize the use of SAP to our specific business needs, and in interfacing SAP with our global in-house developed factory operating system. This has led to IOCORE gaining the respect of our parent company in Germany, and to some of its personnel being involved in Germany with the further development of our SAP systems."
