The Core Group - the official distributor of Apple products in SA - says the iPad with retina display will "soon" be available from selected partners.
"The new iPad with retina display will replace the iPad 2 model as the most affordable 9.7-inch iPad available, in a 16GB WiFi model and 16GB WiFi + cellular model," says the company.
According to Core, the launch partners for the new tablet will include Apple premium resellers (iStore and Digicape), selected Apple authorised retailers and Apple authorised resellers. For a full list of launch partners, visit www.core.co.za.
The recommended retail pricing is R5 299 for the iPad with retina display 16GB WiFi device, and R6 999 for the 16GB WiFi + cellular device.
Although Core Group may suggest retail prices, it warns resellers are responsible for determining their own prices for the resale of Apple products.
