Johannesburg, 19 Aug 2003

iServe, a member of the JSE-listed ERP.com group of companies, today announced that it has been awarded national service partner status by SAP (Africa).

iServe has been operating as a SAP hosting and application service provider (ASP) partner for the past three years. The national service partner accreditation is in addition to the current partner status and acknowledges iServe`s SAP implementation capabilities and track record.

"iServe has now established itself as a serious player in the SAP service provision space and we are looking forward to our continued association with them," commented Errol Strydom, General Manager, Industrial`s Business Unit, SAP Africa. "The iServe team justifiably has a reputation for delivering quality, value for money SAP solutions to large and medium-sized organisations. We are especially excited about their business technology optimisation and SAP business intelligence initiatives."

"SAP welcomes iServe to the service partner programme," added Kathy Carrick, Consulting Alliance Manager SAP Africa, "since iServe has been an ASP partner with SAP for some years. Service partners support SAP customers with consulting services for the implementation and application of SAP products, and iServe has provided essential services to some key SAP customers including Macsteel International, PFG Building Glass and Samancor Chrome."

iServe has a team of 50 highly skilled SAP resources with extensive experience in the implementation and support of SAP solutions. The company is especially well positioned to service the steel, paper, glass and mining industries. Its ASP offerings target the SME market with pre-configured solutions for distribution, service provider and manufacturing organisations. iServe has successfully implemented SAP in various organisations and is currently in the final stages of a global SAP roll-out for Macsteel International.

In addition to its SAP-specific skills, iServe also provides strategic IT consulting services and has specific strengths around system consolidation, centralisation, as well as global implementation and support strategies.

"iServe is very pleased at being accredited national service partner status by SAP Africa," concluded Cassie Lessing, Managing Director of iServe. "This is something we have strived and worked hard for over the past four years. iServe has built an excellent team of SAP professionals and has established a track record of successful implementations and service delivery capability. The partnership will strengthen our already good relationship with SAP Africa and give us the credibility expected and demanded by prospective and existing SAP customers."
