iSolve Business Solutions, a local Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, has extended its offering in the virtualisation arena by becoming a Microsoft Hyper-V specialist company.

Hyper-V offers customers a scalable and high-performance virtualisation platform that plugs into customers' existing IT infrastructures and enables them to consolidate some of the most demanding workloads, iSolve points out.

According to the company, Hyper-V's scalability derives from its support for multiple processors and cores at the host level and improved memory limits at the host and guest level within virtual machines. “This enables customers to scale their virtualisation environment to support a large number of virtual machines within a given host and to take advantage of quick for high availability across multiple hosts.”

iSolve CEO Peter Clark says there has been strong adoption of Microsoft virtualisation software. “Now is the time for customers to get virtual with desktop and centre virtualisation offerings from Microsoft,” he adds.

He says customers have told iSolve that virtualisation is a top priority, but that they continue to face multiple barriers to adoption, such as costs, complex tools, and limited certified virtualisation professionals.

“In response, iSolve decided to expand its offering by becoming a Microsoft Hyper-V specialist company, breaking down these barriers to help make virtualisation ubiquitous,” says Clark.

“Today, virtualisation can help companies maximise the value of IT investments, decreasing the server hardware footprint, energy consumption, and cost and complexity of managing IT systems, while increasing the flexibility of the overall environment,” he explains.
