The battery charger supply contract with Eskom Distribution expired at the end of 2003. IST Telecom had to tender against fierce competition for the new supply contract for a period of 2 years. The adjudication was completed in April 2004 and IST Telecom was recently informed that its bid was successful. The value of the contract is approximately R 6 million.
We have been supplying our flagship product, the IST-Chroma Switch Mode Battery Chargers to Eskom Distribution and Eskom Transmission for the past two years. IST Telecom has delivered 453 of these Battery Charging systems to Eskom since August 2001.
