ITEC commits to affordable colour printing for SME markets

As more South African businesses discover the benefits of colour printing, ITEC Distribution (ITEC) is adding the C200 to its colour printing arsenal.

The new multifunctional device will provide businesses with faster, more energy efficient printing, copying, scanning and faxing functions at a lower cost.

"Historically, colour printing was perceived as slow and very expensive and ITEC took a strategic decision to break down these perceptions by introducing cost-effective black and white and colour printers. Until now, small business found it difficult to own A3 colour multifunctional devices, responsible for large format printing," says Holger Groenert, product marketing manager at ITEC Distribution.

"With the new C200 colour multifunctional device in its solution offering, ITEC is addressing this concern along with the promise of a product boasting enterprise-level reliability and superior customer service at a price targeting the SME."

The C200 sets the tone in affordable colour printing without sacrificing speed. Smaller companies that would usually run separate copier, printer, scanning and fax devices can now reduce the costs of buying and servicing these devices with a single colour MFD that uses less power and takes up much less space than the individual products would. SMEs will also benefit from the lower service costs as it is easier and cheaper to keep one product running efficiently than four.

Companies with large volumes of printing and copying will not only benefit from the lower hardware costs, but also from the reduced per-page cost, even when compared to traditional black and white printing, matched with superior colour quality.

"Taking advantage of a network infrastructure, the C200 also offers IP (Internet protocol) faxing to further reduce telecommunications costs by offering the capability to send faxes over the Net," adds Groenert. The C200 multifunctional device offers printing speeds of up to 20 A4 pages per minute in colour and black and white. It has also been designed to be easy to use and quiet, meeting the needs of small and home-based businesses. In addition, the C200 is well-suited to being used as the central office printing device in multi-user environments such as those often found in small companies.
