ITWeb, Neotel get talking

ITWeb, in partnership with Neotel, will host the Neotel-ITWeb Talking Points Forum. It aims to give large enterprises insight into what convergence means to South African business, as well as an understanding of the best options in the converged communications market.

The forum will take place on 21 May at the Michelangelo, in Sandton, and is targeted at C-level executives of large enterprises in SA. This includes CEOs, COOs, CIOs, CFOs, IT directors, IT managers, IS infrastructure managers and IT decision-makers.

Neotel's executive head, Stefano Mattiello, will give the opening address and examine next-generation infrastructure. Professor Nick Binedell, founding director of the Gordon Institute of Business Science and Sasol chair of Strategic Management, will explore the current business climate, and South Africa beyond 2010.

Sandeep Mathur, president of Corporate Affairs for Tata Communications, will discuss India's telecoms journey and lessons for South Africa.

A roundtable discussion will bring the forum to its conclusion. The topic is: “What South African business needs and what South African telecoms can deliver”. Panellists for the discussion include Brian Neilson, co-founder and research director of BMI-T; Rudolph Muller, founder of MyADSL; and Dobek Pater, director of Africa Analysis.
