The annual ITWeb Security Summit - the premier information security event in South Africa for the past 13 years - is now extending to Cape Town.
ITWeb Security Summit 2018 Cape Town will be held on 28 and 29 May, at the One&Only. On 28 May, delegates will enjoy two half-day workshops, followed by the conference and expo the following day.
"Dubbed: 'Meeting the needs of an ever-changing threat landscape', the summit will explore topics ranging from the latest threats and mitigation techniques, to governance and compliance, and even the more technical aspects of cyber security," says Angela Mace, CRM and events director at ITWeb.
She says since inception, delegates from the Cape have flown up to Joburg to attend the event. "We have had several requests to branch out and host a second event in Cape Town, and this year, for the first time, industry professionals from in and around the Western Cape will have the Security Summit right on their doorstep.
"There's clearly a thirst for information security knowledge in South Africa, and Cape Town is no different. We've had a tremendous response to this event, and hope to make it an annual event. It's an ideal opportunity for Cape Town information security professionals to network too."
