IVA, Flixster expand partnership
Internet Video Archive (IVA), distributor of movie trailers and other video assets, and Flixster, one of the fastest-growing social networking sites for movie fans, are expanding their mobile partnership, according to eMediaWire.
The new pact will extend IVA's extensive library of movie previews to Flixster's Web properties, including Flixster.com and Flixster's Facebook and MySpace applications.
This deal expands IVA's promotional network, which already includes some of the Internet's largest names, including Fandango.com and BarnesandNoble.com, to more than 100 million unique visitors per month.
LiquidHD links audiovisual gadgets
One of the holy grails of consumer electronics is to create a wireless networking solution that works seamlessly behind the scenes to link together audiovisual, PC and mobile gear throughout a home, and Silicon Image is doing it, according to cnet.
The basic concept goes something like this: a PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 is connected to a TV in one room and audio and video is streamed to a TV in another room.
If a home is connected to the LiquidHD network, it will be able to take the high-definition audio and video and move it to any TV in any room - without losing any quality.
Memorex offers home theatre
Memorex, a portfolio brand of Imation, has introduced the SimpleSurround HDMI DVD SoundBar with iPod dock, MVBD-2520 Blu-ray disc player and high performance audio/video cables, including HDMI cables, according to PR-inside.
The latest in the Memorex line of home theatre components and accessories represents a blend of quality and value, and offers consumers the opportunity to experience HD movies in their homes without breaking the bank.
"Home theatre systems are natural focal points for family gatherings, but until recently, assembling a high-definition entertainment system has been prohibitively expensive," says Jessica Walton, Memorex global brand director, Imation.
