Jabra, a global leader in innovative, high-quality, hands-free audio solutions, today announced it has, together with Cisco, co-developed audio devices that enhance the collaboration experience on Cisco Jabber for Windows and in virtual environments. To enhance the Cisco Jabber experience, Jabra brought its expertise in audio engineering, award-winning product design and software integration to the development of two new products: a compact office speaker phone and a wireless DECT handset. As a preferred solution developer in the collaboration category of the Cisco Developer Network, Jabra has completed interoperability verification testing required by Cisco.

The Jabra Speak 450 for Cisco enables Cisco Jabber users to turn their workspaces into conference rooms; and enjoy greater productivity with hands-free teleconferencing and superior audio-quality. The Jabra Speak 450 for Cisco includes the latest in Bluetooth technology to allow for additional connectivity on other Bluetooth-enabled devices, such as smartphones, tablets and mobiles. The Jabra Handset 450 for Cisco combines the convenience and flexibility of a wireless DECT handset with the comfort of a traditional phone user experience. Both the Jabra Speak 450 for Cisco and the Jabra Handset 450 for Cisco are part of the Cisco Solutions Plus Program and can be purchased via Cisco's Global Price List.

"Jabra has delivered essential audio devices for a complete workspace solution - adapting the workstation to the needs of the people who use it, and not vice versa," says Jabra CEO, Mogens Elsberg. "This co-operation is a testament to Jabra's long-lasting relation with Cisco, which recognises the importance of quality audio end-points, uniting a range of products to enhance the user experience, with completely interoperable devices."

"Cisco is excited to support new Jabra audio accessories, developed exclusively for Cisco Jabber, that improve the user experience for better collaboration and greater productivity. With today's announcement, Cisco and Jabra are able to provide users with more options to collaborate effectively on thin clients and Windows PCs with new, unified communication-enabled, high-quality audio accessories for the desktop," says Phil Sherburne, VP of Engineering, Cisco Enterprise Smart Solutions.
