Joint CRM initiative announced

Johannesburg, 20 Mar 2000

Microsoft, KPMG and Calibre CRM Solutions (representing Pivotal Corporation) have introduced Enterprise 360 to the local customer relationship management (CRM) marketplace. The initiative represents a coalition of Pivotal`s CRM application, Microsoft technology and KPMG services.

The solution was launched overseas in January 1999 and there have since been over 100 successful implementations.

"I was impressed with the functional richness in Enterprise 360," says Garry Hodgson, business solutions group director at Microsoft South Africa.

"The product offers a complete and rapidly deployable solution to meet the needs of businesses that want a full-featured customer management solution. The comprehensive array of capabilities includes business analysis, sales force , product configuration, proposal generation, customer service, marketing, campaign management, Web customer self-service, inbound and outbound call management, partner relationship management and enterprise resource planning integration solutions.

"In addition, the ability to incorporate additional software components allows companies to specify the precise solution needed to meet their business` specific needs," notes Hodgson.

"Businesses today are interested in reducing the cost and complexity of evaluating and implementing strategic business applications, which can take months or even years of effort, with potentially unpleasant surprises along the way," says Devon Dalbock, CEO of Calibre Solutions.

"Consequently, solution and service providers, coupled with complementary technology, are combining their strengths to minimise and maximise rapid return on investment. Enterprise 360 is a prime example of this trend."

"Enterprise 360 uses an innovative CRM implementation model that allows customers to recognise measurable benefits from their CRM system in the early deployment stages," says Keith Fairhurst, partner at KPMG Consulting.

"With limited IT resources and in-house CRM expertise, companies today are looking for CRM solutions that make good on the promise of new technologies without assuming all the risks inherent in these technologies."
