Space centre gets multimedia upgrade

A $700 000 federal grant to "expand and enhance the use of state-of-the-art multimedia technology" at the Columbia Memorial Space Centre will be spent over several phases, reports The Downey Patriot.

The first phase calls for the construction of a nine-screen media wall on the space centre's first floor. The theatre on the second floor, known as 'Lab 2', will also be reconfigured and upgraded, assistant deputy city manager Scott Pomrehn wrote in a staff report.

"Providing the interactive experience to excite and motivate this future generation is the goal of this project," Pomrehn wrote.

Audio-visual and video conferencing systems integrator proAV has appointed Signbox, an architectural signage company, as its corporate signage provider, says Cision Wire.

The appointment follows a rebranding exercise with the company changing its name from Asysco to proAV.

Signbox was chosen to and install the corporate signage for proAV's three regional offices at Egham, Birmingham and Manchester.
