Just in time for Xmas

Samsung has introduced a range of products that are making their way to SA in mid-November and early December.

The range includes a new A4 colour laser printer line-up, LED Smart Monitor, All-In-One (AIO) PC, Smart Station, and Windows 8-ready Notebook series, the 5 ULTRA Touch and ATIV devices.

Speaking at the event, IT business leader for Samsung, Mike van Lier, said he expects to see growth within the market with these products.

Samsung's printer series includes 11 new devices designed specifically for small businesses and large corporate enterprises with the CLP-36x, CLX-3305, CLP-415, CLX-4195, CLP-680ND and CLX-6260 series. One feature of the series is the Easy Eco driver, which can manage printing options and reduce overall total cost of ownership (TCO) by an average of 20%.

In addition, the series offers easy management of printers and other devices within a business, which Samsung says increases productivity through optimisation of the printing environment.

Deputy MD for Samsung, Matthew Thackrah, said the brand had seen significant growth since the previous year through innovative product solutions.

"The electronics market is highly competitive due to many brands; for us, the solution is simple: it's really all about innovation and the ability to provide consumers with products that suit their lives. The DLNA server is driven by convenience through the integration of products that talk to each other simultaneously through AllShare," he explained.

According to Samsung, the new monitors feature the world's thinnest and most compact notebook chassis. The design and engineering pushes current perceptions of premium notebook PCs to the next level with super-slim components tailor-designed and engineered to fit into the PC's innovative single shell body.

"We're changing the paradigm of audio solutions for the home environment. With the AIO PC, Windows 8 has created an intimate way of interaction through a sense of touch; now consumers can control devices through sense recognition," Van Lier added.

"The monitor market has risen by 7.2%, and due to the low total cost of ownership driven by the printers, consumers and small businesses alike can look forward to energy savings as Samsung generates a strong eco-consciousness," he concluded.
