Kent uses Oracle
City officials in Kent, Washington, say they are now using Oracle Imaging and Process Management in a bid to improve information processing, management, retention and disposition across multiple departments within the city, states TMCnet.
The suite is a component of Oracle Fusion Middleware, in conjunction with Oracle Applications and Oracle Database.
Oracle's software is expected to provide the city with a centralised, integrated digital platform for content storage, retrieval and workflow functionality, which helps improve disaster recovery capabilities, reduce the physical space required to maintain paper files and increase departmental efficiency by consolidating manual and redundant filing systems.

CQ gets certified
Day Software's suite Communique (CQ) is certified for use with SAP's NetWeaver portal, reports TMCnet.
The company said CQ is the fist Java Content Repository-based content management system to support all types of content within an enterprise.
Day's CQ complements the content pulled from SAP (via SAP-specific portlets called "iViews") with content from its native content repository.
