KeyTools, Autopage enter application vendor agreement

Johannesburg, 20 Oct 2004

KeyTools today announced that it had entered an application vendor agreement with Autopage Cellular (Pty) Ltd.

"Part of our business strategy is to establish new growth opportunities within our current user base and to attract new business to Autopage," commented Glen Lumley, Business Development Director at Autopage Cellular.

"This new agreement and partnership enables us to offer pre-packaged KeyTools mobile solutions and provides the opportunity to create other new solutions, all of which help to differentiate us from our competitors."

"We are delighted with this new partnership," added Richard Chalk, Founder and CEO of KeyTools International.

"Autopage is well known and respected in the local market and thus this agreement provides us with significantly enhanced visibility. I know that this is just the beginning of a long and mutually beneficial relationship that will benefit both parties."

KeyTools

KeyTools (Pty) Ltd, established in 1993, is a South African-based company specialising in providing mobile hardware, software, applications, integrated solutions and support focused around mobile operating system platforms.

Apart from specific mobile applications such as GlobalOrder, KeyAssess, KeyLife and mobiSCAN; KeyTools has also developed TransPhormer, a browser-independent remote data transfer protocol, which is loaded onto a dedicated server or within a partition of an existing server and is fully scalable. It allows information to be transferred with reduced connectivity time, reduced security risk, reduced data throughput and increased accuracy to a PDA, eg palmtop, laptop and certain smart phones.

When activated, TransPhormer enables data transmission via GPRS/GSM, HSCSD, or Bluetooth technologies, between the PDA and a company`s server that is hooked into its database, eg ERP, CRM, support and financial, therefore making mobile application commerce a realistic and cost-effective proposition.
