KMSG pens US deal

KM Systems Group (KMSG), a management consulting firm, has entered into a US reseller agreement with Deltek, the provider of enterprise applications software and solutions for project-focused organisations, says Centre Daily.

Under the terms of the agreement, KMSG is a designated reseller of Deltek's enterprise project management products, an integrated suite of software applications for government agencies and government contractors that require a compliant solution for ANSI/EIA 748 requirements, programme controls and earned value management (EVM).

“Through this reseller agreement, we are able to provide our customers with a complete EVM solution set, ranging from EVM system design and implementation, to training, to support services, and now software applications,” said Kevin Martin, president of KMSG.

Hypersoft's SME project commended

The Group of 20 has rated the Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) Records Project submitted by Hypersoft Ghana, a private ICT and project management professional service company, to its challenge panel as 'Green SME', says Ghana News Agency.

CEO of Hypersoft, the brain behind the SME Records Bank Project, Lonlon Tekpa, told GNA: "Green SMEs are cutting edge mobile phones and cloud computing systems that are revolutionising the opportunities for environmentally conscious entrepreneurs to do business.”

Two SME challenge entrants - SME Records Bank and Green Energy Project - both African-based, are programmes that allow renewable energy SMEs to track supply, demand and sales information of its customers via cellphone or cloud computing platform, he said.

SmartBear releases free PM tools

SmartBear has released two free software tools in the hopes of getting more users introduced to the functionality, states SD Times

The two free tools - DevPlanner for project management and QAPlanner for test management - can be used by up to 10 people for one project, according to the company. QAPlanner has free integration with SmartBear's TestComplete, an testing tool, which enables users to schedule automated tests, and provides analysis via reports and dashboards.

DevPlanner provides logs and rich dashboard elements such as burn-down charts, plan velocity and resource availability.
