Konica Minolta Business Solutions as introduced the Clean Planet Recycling Programme that hopes to provide consumables recycling to customers, reports eWeek.

Whether relying on a single desktop printer, a fleet of Bizhub multi-function products or professional Bizhub Pro or Bizhub Press production print systems, customers can reduce their ecological footprint with the Clean Planet Recycling Programme's return and recycle process.

With the programme, customers will have the opportunity to return and recycle all major consumables; including toner cartridges, imaging units, waste toner bottles, developer units and drums.

OKI targets SMEs with MFP

OKI Printing Solutions has released an A4 colour multi-function product (MFP), the MC561dn, states AME Info.

The new MFP is based 100% on LED technology and targets the important small and medium enterprises and small office home office sectors. The machine is designed to provide higher print speed and higher yield toners to maximise business efficiency.

"By combining key office functions within one integrated device, our latest MC561dn saves time and money, at the same time boosting staff productivity, reducing administration time and maintenance costs," says John Ross, general manager, Middle East, India and North East Africa, OKI Printing Solutions.

OfficeMaster aims for better telephony

Ferrari Electronic AG, a supplier of professional unified communications solutions, has released the OfficeMaster Survivable Branch Appliance (SBA) for Microsoft Lync Server 2010, says TMC Net.

The company says OfficeMaster SBA supports the new Microsoft Lync Server 2010, successor of the Office Communications Server 2007 R2, and ensures that phones keep operating in branch offices even if the wide area network fails.

Until now, many companies have preferred to separate their IT and their telecommunications to prevent being affected should the network go down, the company says. “The OfficeMaster SBA switches over to ISDN if the IP connection to headquarters is interrupted thus retaining all telephony functions.”
