US authority and provider of critical intelligence on the imaging industry, Buyers Laboratory Inc, has named Konica Minolta Printing Solutions' magicolor 2480MF as "2006 Pick of the Year: Outstanding Small Workgroup Colour Multifunction Printer".

The front access design and Rotate Carousel button allow for simple replacement of supplies. And the standard PictBridge Camera direct print port is a really nice feature that allows the user to print from a digital camera without a PC."

"Though it is a recent entry to the desktop colour laser multifunction printer market, the magicolor 2480MF offers a combination of value, ease of use and output quality not seen in other models tested to date."
Using multi-pass technology involving a single imaging drum and four toner cartridges on a carousel, this unit outputs in colour at speeds of up to 5 pages per minute (ppm) and in black at speeds of up to 20 ppm. Prints and copies produced by the magicolor 2480MF were judged by BLI to be very good overall, with vibrant colours in charts and graphs and realistic colours and natural-looking skin tones in photographic output.
