One of the exceptional features of the new model is its bright 14.1-inch display. Weight and dimensions remain almost unchanged in comparison to its predecessor. Together with its optical drive and comprehensive communications and security features, the LIFEBOOK S7010 offers professional users all the functions of a fully equipped notebook.
In researching the market for mobile computing solutions, Fujitsu Siemens Computers found that key factors for mobile users are weight, battery life and communications capabilities.
Additional considerations for mobile users include data security and access protection. The LIFEBOOK S7010 is designed to meet all these requirements and offer mobile users an uncompromised mobility solution. Based on Intel Centrino mobile technology, it offers outstanding flexibility of use thanks to its modular bay. The DVD burner, for example, can be removed in one easy step and replaced by a second battery. Secure authentication and data protection are ensured by a security panel, integrated SmartCard controller and optional trusted platform module which identifies the notebook through the network.
