Laser Facilities, South Africa`s leading print and mail bureau, has become the first company in its market to earn the ISO 9001:2000 rating.
The rating was awarded on behalf of the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO), by the South African Bureau of Standards (SABS).
The ISO 9001 rating attests that:
* The company is committed to providing the best possible levels of service;
* Pre and post-production processes are documented for the benefit of all employees to follow and adhere to;
* Complex jobs are discussed and planned ahead of production to ensure a full understanding of what the customer requirements are, and to agree time frames, responsibilities and more; and
* Should a problem arise, each step of the job can be tracked and the underlying problem solved and recorded for future improvements.
"Laser Facilities has been developing processes for many years to ensure the best possible service delivery. We needed an external, impartial audit to confirm our own confidence," says Konni Hoferichter, divisional manager of Laser Facilities.
"The accreditation procedure took some time as every process in the company had to be inspected and documented to ensure it met the high standards required by SABS."
