eCentric Switch recently released its first phase of its latest product called Bulk Vending Airtime Supply System. The Prepaid Company (TPC) has become the first company to utilise the service. More than forty retailers are having their orders processed electronically via the web and are receiving confirmations and airtime stock in near real-time, usually within minutes.
The first phase including order, notification and state are sent via e-mail to TPC`s nominated e-mail address, and stock files are placed on a secure FTP site for collection.
TPC will either e-mail stock files to the operations team at eCentric and upon instruction the stock is imported; or TPC place stock files on a secure FTP site where the stock is validated and imported automatically.
The eCentric web-based reporting system provides online reports which include stock imported, stock vended, stock on-hand and a voucher life cycle report that allows TPC to reconcile against their accounting system, either daily or for a given period in time.
New business requirements will be delivered in Release 2 of the product, scheduled for release in the last quarter of 2003.
